ASKMYGP Updates

Patient feedback is extremely important to us. We have listened to you and have reviewed our current systems to ensure patients are receiving the very best service from Kumar Family Practice:

A platform called ‘ASKMYGP’ was introduced during the pandemic, and we have continued to offer patients this communication tool, in which you can request an appointment, send a photograph, raise an enquiry, and order medication. As we came out of the pandemic, we noticed a dramatic increase in demand, therefore at times we have had to close ASKMYGP to new requests to enable patients to be dealt with safely, prompting the patient to call the practice for triage.

We have decided as a practice to review the operating times of ASKMYGP. We will keep the platform open for the duration listed below. The platform should not be used for urgent matters. We will continue to respond to general enquiries, process medication requests and book routine appointments, annual reviews and other nurse appointments. We will respond to requests within 72 working hours. For any urgent matters, please call the practice on 01942 481440. For life threating emergencies call 999.
